How do I generate a citation for a searched document?

For the record in UKAŽ you have selected, you can generate an automatic citation according to selected citation norms using the integrated citation generator CitacePRO. Furthermore, UKAŽ allows you to export record metadata in BibTex and RIS formats, which can be used for import into other reference managers (Zotero, EndNote, etc.).

How do I generate a citation in UKAŽ

Citations are in UKAŽ automatically generated by the citation generator. Before use in study/scientific work, we strongly recommend checking their accuracy and supplementing any missing mandatory data.

The citation for the selected record can be generated in 2 places:

  1. Search results overview - by clicking on the quotation marks icon next to the document name
  2. Record page (full record) - by clicking on the ‘Citation’ option in the ‘Send to’ section (upper part of the record)

Supported citation norms

By default, citations in UKAŽ are generated according to the ČSN ISO 690 norm. You can also choose the following norms from the menu:

  • APA
  • CSE
  • ČSN ISO 690 (default option)
  • Harvard
  • Chicago (16th Edition)
  • IEEE
  • ISO 690
  • MLA (7th Edition)
  • Turabian (7th Edition)
