How do I sign in to my account?
Signing in to the user account in UKAŽ central search engine takes place via the Central Authentication Service of the CU. The login name and password are therefore the same as in most other university applications.
Sign in procedure
To sign in to the user account, click on the ‘Sign in’ button in the upper right corner of the interface (in the menu). After entering your login details in CAS CU, a box containing your name and surname will be displayed instead of the ‘Sign in’ button. After clicking on your name, you will see access to the ‘User Account’, ‘My Loans’, ‘My Requests’, ‘My Favorites’ and ‘Search History’.
UKAŽ also invites you to sign in at several other interface locations. The prompt to sign in is displayed in a yellow information banner above the search results and/or above the list of units in the open record of a particular document.
Can't sign in?
- If you are unable to sign in to the Central Authentication Service of CU, your password has probably expired. To reset it, it is necessary to follow the instructions on the CAS CU website > ‘Password for CAS’ section.
- If the login in CAS CU was successful, but after redirecting to UKAŽ you do not see your name in the upper right corner and the search engine reports that the login failed, you have probably not yet entered an electronic consent to use the services of Charles University libraries. - If you have a valid password to CAS CU, you have entered an electronic consent to the use of CU library services and you are still unable to sign in, contact us.
